Wine Advocate
The easiest to find of the three 1990 Tokays will be the Tokay Clos Jebsal VT, of which 350 cases were produced. This is a stunningly balanced, spectacular, rich, honeyed wine with moderate sweetness. Its super-high acidity makes the wine taste dry. Its presence and finish make for an unforgettable wine tasting experience. It should drink well for 15-25 years.
Score: 96. —Robert Parker, April 1993.Wine Spectator
Appetizing, toasty aromas, mouthwatering acidity and sweet but vivid flavors of butter, pear and hazelnut make this outstanding. It's distinctive, fresh on the palate and extremely long on the finish. Beginning to show the benefits of maturity, but should improve through at least 1997. 250 cases made.
