The bouquet is intense, complex, fruit-forward and spicy with hints of ripe red berry fruits enriched by various spicy notes. Warm, soft and harmonic on the palate. Great balance among pronounced tannins, acidity and savouriness. This elegant wine has good potential for further cellar ageing.
Actual bottle from our inventory is pictured. These bottles are in excellent condition and all fills are into the neck. All bottles are as good or better than the bottle pictured.

Medium-deep red. High-pitched aromas of roasted cherry, mocha, gunmetal, Cuban cigar tobacco, animal fur and oak spice; showed an explosive raspberry scent with aeration. Pure, thick and utterly suave, with very concentrated, delineated flavors of extraordinary sweetness and depth. The lush tannins are currently buried in fruit, but this highly aromatic, multidimensional Brunello has solid underlying structure. A knockout. (Marc de Grazia) 95 points

The 1995 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna di Pianrosso is a full-bodied, backward, seriously-endowed, muscular offering requiring an additional 3-5 years of bottle age. It is not for those who are unable to defer their gratification. The wine exhibits Asian spice, black cherry, and grilled meat aromas and flavors intermixed with dried Provencal herb and underbrush notes. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2016.
